Animals with specific needs | 1 Cat

Olly is a very easy cat. He's sociable and likes company. Like all cats he sleeps for most of the time! He is used to new people coming to look after him. He's low maintenance!

House

Lovely maison bourgeoise in the neighbourhood of Vauban Esquermes, Lille. Quiet, but lively area, close to everything you could need - shops, restaurants and bars. 2km from Grand Place and 1km from the world famous Wazemmes Market. The house is lovely and comfortable, 4 bedrooms and a music room in the loft. It's perfect for families, single people or couples. The courtyard garden is lovely, with two sitting areas, one for eating outdoors and the other for relaxing. The perfect place to stay to discover this vibrant, gastronomic, historical corner of Northern Europe. There's a music room in the loft and you're welcome to play the piano. There are loads of books in the bookshelves. You're most welcome to read them - please leave them at the end of your stay. You're welcome to use the house as it was your own. All we ask is that you take care of everything. The garden is lovely with two decks - one for eating outdoors and the other for relaxing on the outdoor sitting area. There is paid parking on the street and an unsecured parking area about 50 metres away from the house. There are other areas where you can park for …

There is paid parking on the street and an unsecured parking area about 50 metres away from the house. There are other areas where you can park for free not too far away, but generally in the immediate vicinity you need to pay for parking.

It's a really lovely house to live in. Very comfortable, with beautiful tiled floors, high ceilings and a real feeling of space. Downstairs is open plan, but has big doors if you need some peace from children or companions! There's a TV room, a room for listening to music and reading and a dining room that leads onto the garden through patio doors.

There's a BBQ in the garden, with an outdoor sofa and outdoor tables and seating for eating alfresco.

There's a newly renovated shower room with WC on the first floor and a newly renovated bathroom with WC on the second floor. There's also a WC on the ground floor.

It's a great place to live. Nice and quiet, but so close to all the action. Everything is so handy - the metro, bus and v'lille (dockable city cycles for hire) are all very close. Shops, restaurants and bars are also very close.

Everything you could possible want for a wonderful stay in Lille.

Lille is a wonderful city with so much to do. Great food, wine and beer to discover. It's great for cycling - being in the heart of Flanders, close to Belgium and the famous pavé de Roubaix. There are wonderful restaurants and one of the best markets in Europe is only 1km away from our house. For all your gourmet needs you have rue Leon Gambetta just a 5 minute walk from us, with the best fromagerie, boucherie, boulangerie and poissonerie you could find pretty much anywhere! There are museums; Palais des Beaux Arts, Birthplace of Charles de Gaulle and the world famous Louvre-Lens is half an hour on the train. Lille is very well positioned for the whole of North West Europe. Brussels and Paris are about an hour on the train and Amsterdam is about 3 hours. Bruges and Ghent are less than an hour away. The belgian border is only about 12 km away. The countryside is not far - you've the agricultaral Weppes to the West, French and Belgian Flanders to the North and Belgian Flanders to the East. The farm land of the Pévèle to the south. There are lots of other places to visit nearby; …

I had my first Nomador experience taking care of the pet of Paul's family. Olly is a friendly tomcat, with whom I had a good time. We watched Tour de France together. The house is very tastefully decorated and practical. The house has a small city garden, very nice to have a morning coffee. The neighbourhood is quiet but has several nice restaurants, bars or walks to discover. The city centre is a half hour walk away. You find shared bikes on various locations and I was nicely surprised that city traffic is quite easy going. A vibrant city, quiet home and sweet companionship combined, that's what I got. Topped off with a gentle host!

Paul and Thalie have given us a very warm and friendly welcome, fully trusting us to watch over their home and look after Olly who is a most lovable and gentle cat, softly requesting attention, but never trying to impose. Our stay and exploration of Lille was particularly pleasant and colourful during Christmas celebrations, everything going smoothly, without any hassle.
