Needs and animals

1 Dog

I have a dog (4.5 years) CASSIE who was rescued when one day old.
She is very friendly. and playful and she needs to be walked morning and early evening. There is a field about 100m away and a loop around the local streets.
She is usually fed with pate meat with biscuits and later a selection of biscuits.
Cassie also likes a treat or 2.
She likes to play tug~war with a knotted rope or, indeed, a tennis ball and likes to be chased around the furniture with the ball in her mouth.
Cassie weighs about 10.5kg
She has a blanket to sleep on in the lounge during the day but has a kennel outside for night time.

Modern middle terrace, 4 double bedrooms, compact gardens, aircons, 3 shower .

Ground floor is like a self contained apartment with double bed and shower room.
Modern kitchen with dishwasher. Washing Machine is in the garage.

I have a small iPad with many CD loaded on it; an eclectic mix of music though predominently pop and jazz,
Both the iPad and TV are played through an amplifier/receiver-
The TV has access to many channels.
There is also a smaller TV in the ground floor bedroom with access via a Portuguese box.

Shopping is easy with 4 major supermarketsand a a large variety of shops including banks, pharmacies, dentists, opticians and many cafes and restaurants.
There is fresh fish market open 6 days per week.
Population circa 11,500
São Brás de Alportel is a very pleasant village.
The is an indoor swimming pool within walking distance
In the old town area there is an outdoor pool which opens during Summer months-

Regular bus route 20Km to Faro to the South
.
From Faro there is rail services to Tavira in the East and several locations to the West.
Also regular service to Lisboa which is about 250Km to the North of Sao Bras.

Tourism and Leisure

São Brás de Alportel is a very sociable large village (more like a town)
The local museum offers many activities plus concerts and a cafe/bar and pleasant gardens.
Cities such as Faro and Tavira are worth visiting as is the MAR Shopping Centre although you would probably require transport to reach it.

A few kilometres north up the EN2 road is Font Ferrea nature park.
It is good for walking, mountain biking, off-road motor bikes.
It has a cafe open each day except Monday.

One the best cafes in Sao Bras is Amor Perfeito (known by Brits as The Love Shack)
Also the central square with fountains is a very pleasant place to sit for a drink.
