JUST IN TIME FOR SUMMER!
Our apartment in Fukuoka, Japan is the perfect size for a single or couple. It's located in the Chuo ward of the city which is filled with amazing restaurants and is only a 10 minute walk away from Ohori Park (the largest park in the city). We live directly above one of the most famous yakitori restaurants in the city and directly across from a supermarket. We also have air conditioning, an air purifier, and blackout curtains. Fukuoka also has some of the best beaches in Japan!
Our apartment is on the third floor of our building (which has an elevator). We have a washer on the balcony. No dishwasher. Japanese style tub/shower. Full/Double sized futon sofa/bed. We have a TV, but it's only to hook up on computers to it as we don't have cable. We do have wifi. And a costco membership you're free to use if you look every remotely like either my husband or myself.
Located a 10 minute walk from the Sakurazaka and Akasaka subway stations, it's really easy to get to Tenjin, Hakata or anywhere else in the city. There are also bus routes locally as well.

We have two adult, female cats who love people and cuddles. They both are long haired so allergies could be an issue if you have them. They love being out on the balcony to people watch, but aren't allowed out there if you're not home. Their litter should be scooped once a day and changed out completely twice a week. Food and water needs to be kept fresh and filled.
We also have a small dog (Japanese Spitz). She is often uncomfortable with most men as she's a rescue from a puppy mill, but loves women, walks, and tummy scratches. She needs fresh water, two feedings daily, and two walks a day to go to the bathroom. She also has a stroller for longer walks (since she has a bad leg).
Here's a tour of our flat on YouTube! We've since got a new, bigger couch (as seen in the pictures), that becomes a bed for the futon to be on. It's very comfortable. And we've covered the tatami flooring with fake wood so it's less delicate and easier to care for.

Fukuoka is an amazing city and voted the best city in Japan for overall quality of life and for it's amazing food and world famous Hakata-style ramen. It has a major international airport, a 3 hour ferry to Busan, South Korea, beautiful beaches, festivals, tons of restaurants and over 2,500 pop up food stalls. Each night these food stalls start to appear around the city at about 6 pm and stay for people to eat and drink until the wee hours of the morning. There are also party boats along the major rivers. Ohori Park has some beautiful nature and if you want more, Fukuoka is located on the island of Kyushu which has national parks, hot springs, and so much more.
We're ready and willing to give you a ton of recommendations on where to go and what to do.
