Pool maintenance | 1 Dog | 1 Cat

We have got a black Labrador cross who loves her cuddles and a white Swiss Alsatian. They are being walked morning and evening and fed after our dinner. They sleep in the house and both need a wash once a week. The cat comes and goes as she pleases and has got a 5 day cat feeder. The 4 fish in their bowl just need a tiny a bit of food each day. Watering of plants out- and indoors, a little weeding and mowing only when needed. The Pool will be covered from October till May so no need of looking after unless you fancy a swim yourself! In our area you will need a car there public transport is not great. The small road we live in is not easy for camper-vans but possible with care.
At the end of the house sit please leave the house as clean as you found it that will be very much appreciated.

We are looking for a couple for our house sit. We will leave on the 4th early so we would like you to come on the third so I can explain about the house, garden and animals followed by dinner to get to know each other a bit better. We will be back on the Saturday 3rd of March later in the afternoon.

4 Bedroomed ground floor house. Big living room with wood burner and open kitchen.2500 m2 of ground with swimming pool and pond. Very quiet area with shops and our romantic village at walking distance. 10 minutes away by car from Lake St. Cassien. We got English TV, we have got a french digital box but not connected just yet, internet and music including a classic and electric guitar and an electric drum set. A lovely terrace covered with grape vines with a big table to sit at. A pool with cover, 2 adult mountain bikes. Also available a badminton/ volleyball net with badminton rackets and fishing rods. In the area tennis courts, horse riding, rowing club and cinema near by. We got 2 freezers and a tumble dryer just in case. We live in a calm and green environment at the bottom of a village with another 4 villages nearby us. When I drive up our lane I appreciate every time that we live in such a beautiful area. We have a farmers market nearby also the supermarket (walking distance of around 15-20 min.) and other shops are also very close. When we take the dogs for a walk we walk …

When we take the dogs for a walk we walk between allotments were people grow there vegetables while having a magnificent view of our Village with its castle. 10 Minutes down the road we got a big lake, streams and forest. The centre of Cannes and Fréjus and the beach are 40 minutes away by car and 45 minutes to Nice aerport. The house is open spaced easy to keep and our female dogs will love you with our little timid female cat who likes a stroke.

Tourism and Leisure

The lake is only 10 minutes away and the nearest beach 30 minutes. The so called most beautiful village in France named Seillans at 15 minutes. Local market in Fayence on tuesday and saturday. Caves, bambou and agricultural eco museum local at 15 minutes. Grasse, the town of the perfumes at 25 minutes drive. Cannes centre is around 40 minutes by car with Nice centre at 50 minutes and Monaco at 75 minutes. Antibes is at 40 minutes from us with its biggest private yacht Marina and so the most expensive private yachts and charming town. Great hiking at Allos, the Mercantour, a small 2 hours away, in the mountains if you like mountain flowers and marmots. Gorge du Verdon with a lovely village Moustiers at a 1h30. Italy with Ventimiglia and San Remo market at about and hour and a half away/ three quarter away.

We got a warm welcome from Nienke and her family with a delicious meal. They are a very laid back and hospitable family where it is really easy to feel welcome. The dogs are gorgeous, very well behaved, and they really seemed to enjoy the walks we took them for, while as the cute cat is very independent and rather shy - when we saw her. The house is beautifully situated, just below the perched Provencal village of Callian - just about half an hour from the Mediterranean coast. It is very comfortable and easy to manage, has a big and beautiful garden and a big patio for meals in the sun. We would love to come back whenever it suits Nienke's and our schedules. A house sit at Nienke's house is a breeze.
