We have a male Laponian Herder, 8 years old, he needs to be walked twice a day for about an hour (mornings and evenings, when it's not too hot). There's also a small turtle and two cats: these animals roam freely in the garden, just need to be fed and don't cause much work.
But: please don't apply if you have small children. The dog has not grown up with children and while he's generally people-friendly, you never know how a small child behaves, and the dog in return.

A traditional large Spanish chalet (5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms) with a nice garden with swimming pool and fountain (taken care of by a gardener and pool boy). Less than 10 minutes walk to the metro line 2 that takes you to Valencia city center in half an hour. Extremely quiet neighbourhood. High-speed fiber internet connection and satellite TV make sure it won't get boring.

We really enjoyed our time that we spent with Wolfgang and his wife Agata. They were two of the most generous, kind, and interesting people we have ever known. The outdoors set-up (including an amazing pool) is such an amazing place to hang out and have a good time. Unfortunately we came during the most intense heat wave in the last 15 years, so that did make it a little challenging. But overall the spot, proximity to metro, etc. is fabulous - especially if you like a calm, quiet place to stay away from the city. There are 4 animals to take care of (1 dog, 2 cats, 1 turtle), but certainly the most time-consuming is the morning an evening walk with Pascal. I really came to like these walks strolling through the peaceful Valencian countryside. I would just recommend that you're sure you can handle a strong dog! Pascal likes to make his presence known to other dogs around him, and it's important to pay attention and keep him in check. Overall, I'm so impressed with the family and set-up. A true retreat!
