Our ideal house sitters will make our home their own, as we're quite laid back and simply want someone who will provide the best possible care for our kittens and our space while we're away. We're looking for people who are not just clean and tidy but also great communicators and genuine cat lovers and actually spend some time with them.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

1. Ensure our kittens are fed in the morning between 8am and 9am and in the evening between 8pm and 9pm.
2. Keep their water bowls filled with fresh water.
3. Regularly clean the cat litter.
4. Maintain the house in the same clean and tidy condition as we left it for you.
5. Provide attention and playtime for our furry friends.

It's important to note that our kittens aren't used to being left alone for extended periods, so ideally we are looking for freelancers working from home.

Our male cat can be a bit restless and vocal (never agressive) and may take some time to warm up to you, so your patience is much appreciated.

And finally, while we want you to take good care of them, we also want you to enjoy your time in our beautiful city!

Additional information about these dates

We are leaving EDI on 17th, so it would be great to meet you a day or two before departure, and comign back late in 21. You are welcome to stay a bit longer, or you can leave early on 21 and a friend can pick up the keys and feed the cats before we arrive.

Our place is a 3rd. floor flat (NO-LIFT!) with open lovely views.
It's conveniently situated just a 10-minute walk from the train/tram station, making it a perfect base to explore a plethora of Edinburgh attractions on foot or by hopping onto our excellent bus/tram network.

If you're a nature enthusiast, you're in for a real treat! The Union Canal and Roseburn Path, exclusively for bikes and pedestrians, are in close proximity.

You'll find a variety of shopping options nearby, including supermarkets, and fantastic italian produce, all just a few minutes away. Additionally, the area boasts a wide selection of restaurants, cafes and shops.

There's a big kitchen with double oven, dish-washer and everything you need to cook if you wish to.
The bedroom has a big TV to watch a movie snuggled in bed.
If you are working, there's a massive desktop in the living room and a comfy chair.

The area is great for city dwellers and nature lovers too! Edinburgh is one of the greenest cities in the UK and you will find plenty of places of interest.
The Castle is not too far (about 20 minutes walk or so)

I came to Edinburgh for a workcation week as a freelancer and had a fantastic experience. I was warmly welcomed by Argy, who went out of her way to ensure I had a pleasant stay. She accommodated me in another apartment when I arrived two days early and stayed an extra day, which was very kind and made my stay even better. She really made me feel at home in her home, and in Edinburgh, with great recommendations for places to go and things to do. The flat itself is very clean and well furnished. The programmed robot vacuum cleaner made it easy to keep the place tidy. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need, and the bedroom has a large TV for relaxing in bed. The two cats, Gertie and Fergus, are incredibly sweet and easy to care for. They kept me great company and were a joy to look after. The workspace in the flat is large and comfortable, and I was even lent a large monitor, which was very helpful for my work. I had a wonderful week in Edinburgh and managed to explore a lot. The location close to the city centre is very convenient, with shops just around the corner and a bus stop right in front of the building. All in all, it was a wonderful stay, and I would love to come back!
