The ‘Casa degli Orizzonti’ is situated in between olive plantations, apricot, almond, cherry, plums, wallnut trees, pines, cypresses, vineyards and fields of sunflowers. It is located about 1 km from Monte Castello di Vibio, a typical Italian Umbrian medieval village built on a hill top. The view of the river Tiber and the medieval city of Tody nearby and the all surroundings with etruscan sites, have inspired poets and painters for centuries.
The environment guarantees a high level of privacy. No roads, no neighbours nearby, and cars have to be parked about 50mt from the house up hill. The village is 10 min. walk from the house (700mt.) where major facilities like shops, bakery, post office, bank, bar and restaurant are available. There are cultural events performed in the piazzas and in the “smallest theatre of the world”, and art-classes for painting and music are offered.
Monte Castello is well connected by buses and train, also to large cities like Perugia, Firenze, Rome and Napoli. Therefore, car is not essential.

There is a rich library ( English,French,German and Italian) and music available. We have one bicycle and a beautiful pond with Gambusia fishes suitable for feet spa. In the garden there are aromatic plants, a collection of English roses, fantastic grape ( strawberry grape very good for juice) and other beautiful flowers with gives to the all place a special scent for each season. Nearby there is the river Tiber good for fishing and the Tiber park, good for walks. All the surrounding is a very good tracking area. Important art and archeological Etruscan sites. At about 40 minutes by car there are 2 special lakes, Bolsena and Trasimeno. Many natural parks, Monte Peglia, Monti Sibillini, Subasio are reachable in 30 minutes by car.

Suitable for those who want quietness and privacy and who like the country life and activities and who enjoy the healthy environment in the open air and who loves gardening. The house is not a luxury villa but a cousy , traditional umbrian rural house with lot f space. Good and easy access to health facilities, markets, post office and Bank,
The house is situated at about 300 mt above sea level, ideal for the health.
Many cultural events and art/music workshops can make the experience more rich.

It is a very special region for artists, painters, sculpture, theatre professionals, writers and musicians and many international cultural/art events take place in the town and in the region. Historical art places and archeological sites unic and important to art history. A quite place to meditate and work with inspiration.
