Pool maintenance | 2 Cats

Looking after the cats is the main thing. They're pretty easy -- they get fed twice a day and love attention. They're almost two years old and love to play (but also love to sleep). We scoop out their litter box daily.

The plants on the balcony would appreciate watering every few days as well. Takes about 10 minutes.

Hopefully you could arrive a day early in order to meet us and the cats first. We'll be arriving back late on the 24th, but you can leave earlier in the day if you need to and we will get a friend to stop by and give the cats their dinner that night. **Looking for an animal lover to watch over our lovely cats and condo for AT LEAST one month from mid-July until the mid-August or so. There is a very real possibility of extending the stay longer depending on how things go.** Newly renovated condo in the city of Chiang Mai. Great location near the train station and not far from the river, the old city, local markets & supermarkets and a big public park right across the street. We also have a motorbike/scooter you can borrow for getting around if you want. The balcony has a waterfall and is full of plants. The inside is very modern (full kitchen, WiFi etc). There's a pool downstairs that you can use as well. This is a great home base for being close to everything and exploring Chiang Mai and the surroundings. Much more authentically Thai neighborhood than somewhere like Nimmanheimen area (about 15 min away by motorbike). We also have two really friendly cats :) There's a Roku with Netflix etc. hooked up to the TV and dedicated WiFi. There's a pool downstairs. The balcony is lovely to sit on with morning coffee etc. The cats are a lot of fun. Nightlife and otherwise …

This is city life but the countryside and mountains are close by. Shopping Malls, movies, hospitals, markets--everything is within about 10-15 minutes by motorbike. If you aren't comfortable driving a motorbike (more like automatic scooter), there are local taxis & "tuk-tuks" for hire right outside the building. Uber works here too. The local market is walking distance.

Tourism and Leisure

Chiang Mai is well known for having a huge amount of activities for tourists. Most people like to explore the Old City (bonus if you're here on Saturday and/or Sunday as there are special 'Walking Street' markets on those days), take a cooking or yoga class, maybe do something out in the countryside with elephants or trekking etc. There are lots of great coffee shops throughout the city for hanging out or working remotely. For a bit more luxury, there are several malls near by with modern theatres etc. There are also a ton of good restaurants in Chiang Mai, including a variety of vegetarian options.

Colin and Winny were absolutely wonderful to housesit for! They were always quick to respond to any questions I had about the apartment or taking care of the cats. If you love to give belly rubs and lots of affection to little felines, then you will love these cats! Their home is a lovely modern apartment with a great location about 10 minutes outside of the Old City. Colin and Winny were more than accommodating with anything that came up. I would recommend this housesit to anyone who enjoys sweet cats and living in a city.

We really enjoyed our experience at Colin and Winny place! Their 2 cats are just adorable! It was nice to take care of them and give them lots of hugs! They are easy to approach and very affectionate! At night, they came to join us in the bed to sleep with us. The apartment is spacious, very clean and has lots of light. We also enjoyed the on-site pool and restaurants around. Communication with the owners was fast and efficient. Our stay that went much too fast! Lucky and Lukmee are the sweetest cats I've ever come across... Gentle, well-behaved and full of personalities... It touches my heart to observe the loving interactions between the two, Lukmee, as caring and considerate as he is, always indulges Lucky a little who's always craving for food (if not too much of spoiling:-))... Often times, I felt like we were communicating as human beings (even more so if they could ever speak the human language:-))... Though raised as indoor cats, they're active and agile as Colin and Winny has created such a safe and loving home for them... In fact, not only for the cats, but also a beautiful and comfortable place for anyone who stays there, loved the plants and waterfall especially:-)... Great hosts also, very responsive and always keep me informed... It's a wonderful winter break with many fond memories and I miss the kids tremendously, especially their company (the cuddling keeps me warm) during the night and napping during the day:-)... xoxo
