We are looking for someone to stay in our house in the nice neighbourhood of Saint Gilles, take care of the indoor plants and of our cat Philou. Philou is a white-ginger cat, with strong caracter. He takes a medication every morning and likes being with someone in the house that he can play with and cuddle. He's a special cat, very much present. He's the boss of the house, clearly :) We look for someone that does not underestimate the importance of taking care of a cat and spending time with him. People tend to think that cats do not need attentions and presence. This is clearly not the case for Philou. So, basically, we offer our small house (with shared courtyard with neighbours) in exchange of attention and love for Philou. The ideal option for us / Philou is someone that teleworks from home and that can ensure quite a lot of time spent in the house during the day. We (my partner and I) telework as well, so Philou is used to have people around.

House

Independent small house, 3 floors (ground floor, 1st and 2nd). shared courtyard with neighbours.
Ground floor: a room that we use as office, with sofa-bed (to be used as a bed for short periods, not ideal for longer stays) + toilet with shower.
1st floor: living room with small kitchen. All you need to cook, fridge, freezer. No dish washer. plants to water.
2nd floor : hall that I use as office, a bedroom with big bed + toilet + bathroom.
The house is small, nice, with wooden stairs.
Ideal for a couple. or family with one child (+12yo)

Tourism and Leisure

Brussels ! European capital with everything you need. the neighbourhood is the one of Saint Gilles, 10 min away from one of the main stations of Brussels, well connected to every part of the city, 25/30 min walk to the city centre (or 10 min by Métro). The difficult thing about Saint Gillles is that you have everything you need, nice markets, bars, shops and people, you might be tempted to stay in Saint Gilles too much. :)

Staying at Irene and Mauro's place was a wonderful experience. First of all, Philou, their cat, is so nice and easy to be around (we miss him). Their house is in a very vibrant neighborhood and our experience there was top notch. Irene and Mauro were always available for any question and we vibed with their energy. We'd definitely recommend to cat-sit Philou and have an experience in Bruxelles as great as ours!
