We have a 13-year old cat who gets lonely and needs affection, as well as the usual cat care (food, water, clean litterbox). He sleeps a lot and likes to go outside when the weather is nice (He can be left outside for several hours). We also have a few houseplants that need weekly watering and mail to be brought into the house.

We'll be on the East Coast from July 2 through July 9. We prefer if a housesitter can arrive a day or two before we depart so that we can review house and cat care together. If you cannot stay the whole week, we have neighbors who can take care of the cat when you're not here.

We’re located in the foothills of the Wasatch Mountains, which are popular for hiking and skiing. Enjoy the sunset and a view of the mountains from the front patio, or relish the privacy and hot tub of the spacious back garden., The neighborhood is very walkable and is four blocks up the hill from a major street that has commercial services. We’re near bus stops but a vehicle is recommended. A parent and several dear friends live on the same street and are willing to assist you during your stay.

Our home is a 3-bedroom house in a residential area with great neighbors. We’re a few blocks away from an extensive network of hiking trails, a golf course, and a large park with tennis and pickle ball courts. Other attractions: historic downtown (2 miles), Snowbasin Ski Resort (20 miles), and Salt Lake City (40 miles). Yellowstone, Zion, Capital Reef & other national parks are within a few hours’ drive.

We have high-speed internet, a large-screen TV, many books, and 2 bicycles, as well as a spacious, well-landscaped garden with a gas barbecue grill. The kitchen is large and fully equipped.

Have fun exploring the Ogden area including mountain trails, ski resorts, the Great Salt Lake, national forests, cultural and sports events at the local university, Historic 25th Street, and more. Drive or take the commuter train to Salt Lake City (40 miles south) for more attractions, or plan a road trip to world-class national parks (Zion, Yellowstone, etc.) located within a few hours’ drive. In 1.5 hours, you can be in Nevada, Idaho, or Wyoming.

We stayed at Richa' s home with their beautiful cat George. Richa and Hans were so gracious, even spending time with us before the housesit began, and offering us to be able to stay longer after if needed. The home is comfortable, and in a great location. It's excellent for hiking and outdoor activities. We had such a wonderful time exploring the area. George was an absolute sweetheart! He loves to cuddle and to be brushed. We highly recommend house sitting here for these wonderful people.!
