Grasse

Our Dogs are a cross-breed Labrador and a Chocolate Labrador. They need a walk once a day and feeding in the morning and evening. They sleep in the living room on their own beds. and are not allowed on any furniture or bedding. The cat also need feeding in the morning and night. Our cat generally looks after herself.

Lovely House in the South of France, between Grasse and Plascassier. Open plan living area with Lounge, Dinning Room and fully equipped Kitchen. The house has WiFi/Broadband, French TV and UK Satellite TV plus Netflix and Amazon Prime. Lovely views of the surrounding countryside and the town of Grasse (Perfume capital of the world). There is an outside BBQ dining area where you can relax and enjoy the scenery. Plenty of parking space at the front of the house. The house and gardens are secure with automatic electric gates. The house is close to local shopping, supermarkets and restaurants in the surrounding area. Cannes and Antibes are approximately 30 minutes away by Car. The beautiful village of Valbonne is just 10 minutes away where a local Provençal market is held every Friday morning. Valbonne also has a fabulous selection of local boutiques and French/International restaurants, and is a very popular destination to visit throughout the year.

We have two dogs who love walking and swimming in the local river. They are well trained, very friendly to both people and dogs. We also have very shy and friendly cat.

We have WiFi/Broadband, French TV and UK Satellite and catch-up TV, Bluetooth Music system and a selection of DVDs. We also have Netflix and Amazon Prime on-demand TV. Outside dining is also available with a BBQ. We have a table tennis table in the front of the house.

Our garden is perfect to simply relax and take it easy, or if you prefer our lawn is great for a game of Pétanque.

We have lovely views of the countryside and Grasse. Even though we are close to amenities it's calm, quite and very relaxing. Our neighbourhood is tranquil, and we have friendly neighbours next-door who can speak english. Our location is perfect if you want to explore the nearby Mountains and National Park area. Close by are Valbonne, Mougins and Mouans-Sartoux, which are popular tourist attractions with markets, boutique shops and restaurants. We have two very good Supermarkets nearby in Grasse. If you prefer to use the train, the nearest station is at Mouans-Sartoux (10 mins by car) which has regular services to the the costal seaside towns/cities along the mediterranean (Monaco, Nice, Cannes, Antibes, etc).

It is recommended that our house sitters have their own car as there is no public transport directly next to our house.

The South of France is a very popular tourist area with plenty of things to do and see. Visit the sea, art museums, local markets, shopping, nearby skiing in the winter season, and cinema's. Italy and Monaco are not far away via Car or Train. Grasse is also famous for perfume making and it's worth a visit to one of the local perfume factories to create your own perfume!

In the surrounding area there are some lovely forests, rivers and lakes that are well worth visiting. For a great day out visit the Gorge du Verdon, which is Europe's largest river canyon and has some lovely white-water rapids and cliffs.

Another great day trip is to visit the lovely Lerins islands of the coast of Cannes (Île Sainte-Marueritte and Île Saint-Honorat). There are regular public boat services from Cannes or Théoule-sur-Mer, or if you are adventurous you can rent your own Motorboat for the day at Antibes.
