We have 2 cats :
- Shakur is a 5 year old male (orange cat), who has separation anxiety and likes to have people in the house. He likes to sneak outside when we open the door and is very vocal about his desire to go out so he will frequently sit in front of the door and sing the song of his people. Shakur is not a very active cat, he mostly likes to sleep and get pets and he purrs very quietly. At night he loves to sleep with his humans and he will likely scratch at the door if you close it.
- Coco (short for Cocoa Bean) is the newest addition to our household, she is a 7 month old kitten (the little black thing you see in the pictures). She is very active since she is still young, and races around the house like a Purrari Deluxe. Her favorite toy is a shoe string and she plays fetch with it, so you can entertain her without spending too much energy yourself! When she is not playing she is a cuddle machine, aggressive cuddling to be expected she will shove herself in your face ;) and she purrs …

We will absolutely need someone to come between Jan 31st and Feb 9th as we will be gone during this time, however we can accommodate if you want to come the night before/leave the day after etc.

House

We live in an apartment on the 5th floor with a little but cute balcony that faces south so on sunny days we get plenty of light throughout the day! We love to cook so our kitchen is very modern and well-equipped with stainless steel pans, blenders, mixers, anything you can imagine, we have it ;)
We also have a TV that has a Fire Stick with Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime, HBO and more!

Our house is perfect for cozy nights in after a long day of exploring Rennes, and watching a movie with mood lighting, plus we just got a new couch; once you try it you'll never want to leave ;)

Our apartment is 15min away (walking) from the city centre of Rennes. Every Saturday morning there is the Marché des Lices (market) close by, it is a huge market with fruits & veggies, meat, dairy etc from Brittany's best local producers. The quality is unbelievable! We like to go there on Saturdays and cook up a feast on Sunday to enjoy with artisanal cider. The metro is super close and takes your anywhere in Rennes as it is very well connected by public transport!

Brittany is beautiful and easily accessible from Rennes! Rennes is close to Saint-Malo & Dinan if you like the beach; if you are into floklore, nature and green areas, you should explore Brocéliande! For book lovers, don't skip on Bécherel, the book city where almost all shops are bookstores.

I had a wonderful week in Rennes with Coco and Shakur. They are two gentle and loving cats that are so easy to get fond of. Victoria and Tariq are caring so good for them. Shakur is Coco's big brother and she couldn't ask for a better one. He plays with her and is always caring and gentle with her as he is with us humans as well. He is so calm and easy to be around, And he is intelligent. You will be amazed:-). Coco is playful and charming, and she loves being petted. If you let her she will curl around your legs at night:-). Victoria informed me very well about how to care for the cats, so it felt very good and safe staying with them. She and Tariq are very friendly, generous and reliable people. I can highly recommend to pet sit for them. They let me feel like at home in their cozy (try their coach:-)!!!) and practical appartment, they even let me stay an extra day after they returned (because of my travel arrangements). I loved Rennes. I spent the days exploring the city ant it's surroundings, Its' very easy to get around in the area. And the location of the appartment is super. It's a short way to the center, either by foot or by bus. The bus stop is right outside the building. Victoria gave me some tips on what to explore, and I ate incredibly good food. Rennes is full of great bistros, cafes and restaurants. In the evenings I loved spending time in the coach with Coco and Shakur TV-binging. I give my stay at Victoria and Tariq 10 points out of 10.
