House-sitting in Vesancy

Needs and animals

Many plants | Big garden | 1 Cat

We have one gorgeous cat who likes his space but loves cuddles at night. He will need to be fed twice a day and let in out of the house but kept in at night.

We also have some indoor plants and a garden that needs watering.

Our house is 650m above sea level and if it snows in winter, you may need to clear the driveway! :)

Non-smoking animal lovers please.

Additional information about these dates

We have purchased our tickets for those dates. We're leaving in the evening of 17 December and it would be good to arrive that day to get to know the house. We will be returning at 9.45 am on 7 January 2024. If you need flexibility around those dates we might be able to find someone to feed the cats for one or two days.

Tourism and Leisure

In winter: Vesancy is at 650m so there is a good chance of snow. The area has plenty of great hill and forest walks. There are also plenty of ski fields as close as 25 minutes to 1.5 hours drive from our house. We have underfloor heating and a great fireplace so the house is very cosy.

In summer: There are lots of places to swim from 5 to 20 mins away. Divonne has a large lake that you can swim in or you can swim in Lac Leman - only 20 mins by car.

We are at the foot of the Jura Mountains and close to Switzerland where you can visit Montreux, Vevey, Gruryere, Villars or stay in France and go to Chamonix and Mont Blanc or Lyon - all these places are only 1.5 hours by car and can be done in a day.

Christine Didier
