We have a 17-year-old cat, Mausi, and a 16-year-old cat, Shalim. They need to be fed in the morning and evening with wet food, dry food and water need to be refilled regularly. They might want some attention, but are rather shy and also spend a lot of time outdoors or sleeping, as they are already seniors. Cleaning the cat litter is another task, and sometimes they might bring a mouse or vomit, so cleaning up would be necessary. The cats are quite independent and can leave and enter the house by themselves.

On top of caring for the cats, our 2 vegetables gardens, our large flower beds and our indoor plants need regular watering in summer if it doesn't rain, which takes about an hour in the morning. The pool also needs regular maintenance, which is an easy and quick task though.

For now, both cats are healthy and don't need any medication. But as they are already old, that might change. In that case we would of course inform about what needs to be taken care of.

Our house is located in a small village and surrounded by woods and meadows. You will have your own bedroom with 1 queen-sized bed (groundfloor). Of course you can also use the rest of the house including kitchen, dining area, living room, and TV room (1st floor). Our private area is on the 2nd floor. The house has a large garden with a jacuzzi that you can also use. You could also make a fire outdoors under the canopy.

If you want to spend a quiet time in the nature, this is the place for you. However, you are not isolated, but in a small village. A car is not necessary but recommended, as the bus stop is a few minutes away (uphill) and there are not many connections. There's a small shop in the village, and several larger ones nearby. You can enjoy the quiet or travel to a city, e. g. St. Gallen, Chur or Zurich. You can also discover museums, art and culture as well as several medieval towns and castles (Werdenberg, Feldkirch).

Our house is in Liechtenstein, one of the smallest countries in the world, just 5 minutes from Switzerland and Austria. It's situated in the Alps, , e. g. the home of Heidi is only half an hour away. There's also various museums, theaters, cinemas, bars and restaurants as well as shopping centers and stores that you can reach by car or public transport within 15 minutes. If you want to travel to a city, Chur (40 min) St. Gallen (40 min) or Zurich (1 h 15 min) are nearby.

We had a very good cat and plants/vegetables sitting stay at Kate‘s and Gunther‘s place and enjoyed the hot and beautiful weather around Liechtenstein as well as Mountains and the countryside near the Rhine Valley. Katrin and her husband Gunter are very kind and hospitable people. They are also talkative, so you will feel like you meet your "old friends". The place where Katrin and Gunter live is very charming in beautiful nature with nice view of mountains. House is very comfortable, nicely equiped and cosy. It was pleasure to meet them.

Wir durften in Schellenberg (Liechtenstein) Katzen hüten und hatten eine rundum wunderbare Zeit. Die beiden Katzen, Shalim und Mausi, sind sehr lieb und pflegeleicht. Es hat uns große Freude gemacht, uns um sie zu kümmern. Kate und Gunter sind außergewöhnlich herzliche, angenehme Menschen, bei denen man sich sofort willkommen fühlt. Ganz besonders genossen haben wir den traumhaften Ausblick auf die Berge, ob beim Frühstück draußen am Tisch oder beim Entspannen auf der besonderen Schaukel. Auch die Möglichkeit, den Whirlpool zu nutzen, war ein echtes Highlight! Herzlichen Dank dafür! Ein weiteres unvergessliches Erlebnis war der Außenkamin: abends das knisternde Feuer zu hören und die ruhige Atmosphäre zu genießen, einfach nur herrlich.
