2 Dogs

We have two mixed breed dogs who are brothers (both about labrador size). They are very friendly and easy going in temperament.
Genie and Dubie are young - 18 months and so have lots of energy when out for a walk, which they burn off playing together, but in the house they are relaxed and calm.
A house sitter would be expected to feed and walk them morning and evening, and to take them on one of the amazing cliff top walks in Menorca at least a few times a week (this is why we prefer someone to have a car). Here they can have a good run off the lead.

A rooftop apartment located in a prime position in the old town of beautiful Ciutadella. Intended to feel like a 'beach house in the city' we have built an indoor/outdoor living space on our big roof terrace. There is a double bedroom and ensuite bathroom with shower, a fully equipped kitchen, living space and roof deck/garden. Until the end of November/December the climate in Menorca is mild and you can make the most of the outside living space and the stunning beaches on the island without hoards of summer tourists. The apartment is a work in progress, built step by step by us! At the moment the pictures you see the place open as we have it in summer. By September will be closeable to be comfortable to live in case of cooler weather. Ciutadella is a lovely small city and some of the best months to love here are the spring and autumn when it is not full of tourists but the weather is still good. We wanted to make the most of the Menorcan Mediterranean climate and the rooftop space we had in our city apartment by building this inside/outside living space. Much of it is made with recyled / upclycled materials and furniture and has been built with love by us. You always have views of the tree canopy, terracotta rooves and (usually) blue sky. It is fully equipped with all kitchen utensils, bedding, towels, washing machine, fridge/freezer, gas cooker and hot water. It is designed to be simple with a beach house feel, yet comfortable to live in.

Tourism and Leisure

Menorca is a wonder of nature; 100s of beautiful beaches and coves, crystal turquoise water, llush inland woodland and wild clifftops - for such a small island the landscape is incredibly varied. For this reason the whole island is a Unesco protected biosphere.
We are looking for someone with their own transport to be able to take the dogs out to different places on the island, this is also how to make the most of being here! It is very easy to get around by car, the island is only 1 hour's drive from one end to the other.
