Needs and animals

1 Dog

We have a young Corgi named 'Bansi'. Although his passport name is 'Serpent Jaguar' named by my son after a Lego character! We are going away for three weeks and would be so thankful for the help with looking after him. He eats between 8 and 9 AM in the morning and then at 8 PM in the evening. And needs to be taken for a walk after the meals. During the day or in the morning, he can be let into the terrace for a quick pee pee in the bushes also. Apart from this, it is him who makes you happy :) so please keep his company. For sleeping in the night, he simply sleeps in 'his' bed in the same room as someone else. He instinctly takes instructions super well and is well trained. He is not allowed to sit on beds and sofa. He will be 6 months and 3 weeks old at the time of the sitting, and has now gotten used to be left by himself for 1-2 hours during the day/night (very easy after the meals), however he cannot be left alone for longer than that. We would be grateful to receive interest where you are ok with this, and if you need to go for longer then you are ok to take Bansi along.

House

It is the ground floor of a beautiful (slightly old) house, very close to amenities such as Migros and the la Conversion train station. It is recently renovated but retains the charm of its age. There are several beautiful walks all around that we walk almost everyday with our dog 'Bansi'. Particularly in the UNESCO Heritage Lavaux wineyards which one can reach in 5 mins walking and then they stretch for many kms. Very beutiful in the autumn specially. You can reach the Lac Leman walking in 10 mins. There is ample space inside the house. There is a quite large balcony looking towards Lac Leman (South and West) and a large terrace with lots of shrubbery and green areas at the back (East). There are three rooms and two bathrooms (one with a bathtub and other with a shower). The common area of the house is also equally accessible. There is a free parking space as well. We think that our beds are super comfortable. We have Tatami mats as the bed base, over which are hand made mattresses made of only cotton (that has been compacted). We think that our beds are super comfortable. We have Tatami mats as the bed base, over which are hand made mattresses made of only cotton (that has been compacted). These mattresses provide you with the snug feeling while being perfectly supporting of the back and overall body; waking fresh after every sleep.

It is very relaxing in La Conversion. In 10 minutes you are by the Lac Leman at its grandest - with one of the best beaches across its entire length. There is a beautiful long walk across with the lac on one side and qaint little old houses from the bygone times on the other. On the other hand, you could choose to walk to the wineyards and enjoy the clean air and more than satisfying views of the Alpine visage and the lake. The house is FULL of natural light all day long and feels very cozy and uplifting. The kitchen is separate (i.e., it is not an open kitchn in the living room), fully equipped with a dishwasher, oven, etc. We are quite a music enjoying, and playing family. The third (and the smallest room) therefore does not have a bed, but two pianos. This room opens into the terrace which has very nice morning sun. Please see the pictures.
Transport: 2 mins walk to the train station with regular connectivity to Lausanne.
Access to the autoroute: 30 seconds drive.

Tourism and Leisure

It is a paradise for nature lovers, but also city explorers. The famous riviera town of Montreux is only 22 kms (20 mins train/drive) away, while Lausanne is only 5 mins train ride away - it is also the place where I work. Of course one can make day trips to Bern (1 hr 10 min) or Geneva (50 mins). Lausanne is the main city, infact one can call Lutry/La Conversion as an extension of it, so to speak. Lausanne has lots to do, endless possibilities for entertainment, food, culture, history...My top most suggestions will be a proper visit of the Cathedral 'Notre Dame' and its tower - from the top you'll see a view that will stay in forever. And if you are into the band Queen, then Montreux will be paradise for you. All said, I would again emphasize that we would really request for you to not leave Bansi by himself for more than 1-2 hours; and if longer than kindly take him with you. This will be of most importance to us.
