Needs and animals

2 Cats

My cats are not very demanding. I feed them every morning and I clean the litter box every morning. I replace the litter once a week or until it's needed. And they always get fresh water every morning. When I go to bed, I check if there's still a bit of food left and if they have enough water. They are allowed to go outside, but they don't have to. I do want them to sleep inside, so I don't let them out in the evening. My cats like other people, but they usually just chill in the house or with eachother. They like to be pet, but they probably won't stay long. They're only allowed in the living room, so definitely not in the bedroom. The big cat molts a lot as she is a (half) brittish shorthair. She's very soft :) They're both female (1 and 2 years old) and both sterilised.

Additional information about these dates

I'm leaving Sundaymorning 23-9-2018 and I get back Friday afternoon 12-10-2018. You can arrive a day earlier or leave later, but I definitely need someone to watch my cats these dates. I have no guest bed, but I do have a spare room so if you want to stay longer, we can figure something out :)

Nice house with 2 lovely cats near the city centre of Leeuwarden (aprox 20-30 minute walk). The train station is about 30-45 minute walk but I have a bike so then it's only 10-15 minutes or so :). There is a small shopping centre with 2 supermarkets within 500 metres and the "Leeuwarden forest" is only a 10 minute walk. The house is located in a quiet neighbourhood and the swimming pool is only a 5 minute walk. Parking is free in front of the house and there is always enough space. My house is not really special. I moved recently and I will move again very soon so it's not really decorated. My garden needs some maintenance, but you can take a chair from inside and sit in the sun. The garden has some privacy. I also have a balcony at the back of the house (which I never use), but it's sunny all afternoon and evening. The hospital is a 15 minute drive. There is no television, but you can connect your laptop or phone with my smart tv. I also have Netflix. The internet is really good. I have an oven, a seperate microwave, a cooking plate and a …

The ones in the city centre are also open on Sunday from 12-17. You can use my bike to explore the area. I have a small garden with a lot of sun.

Tourism and Leisure

There are lots of things to do in Leeuwarden. Last year, Leeuwarden was the cultural capital of Europe. There are still many events and especially in summer there are many festivals. We celebrate 5 may (day of freedom) in every capital city in The Netherlands, so also in Leeuwarden. You should definitely go there (it's free). Leeuwarden has free walking tours and boat tours through the city centre. You can go SUPping (love it) or rent a small boat to see the canals. There is a zoo just outside Leeuwarden (Aqua Zoo) and the Leeuwarden forest is not so big but nice. I would recommend to visit the Wadden. You can go to Harlingen by train en then to Vlieland or Terschelling. You can also go to Holwerd by bus to go to Ameland. Even the smallest island Shciermonnikoog is really nice. The whole island is a national parc and the beach is the widest in Europe (long walk to the sea). There are no cars allowed on Schiermonnikoog. I think my personal favorite is Terschelling, but they're all lovely.
