We have two 11-year-old neutered cats who are brothers. Both have health conditions so need a close eye keeping on them. One likes a fuss making of him, the other is a bit more independent!! We have 6 poultry. One cockerel and five hens who free range by day. Cats need feeding twice a day, and the chooks need fresh food and water daily and most importantly locking away in their coop before dusk and letting out sometime in the mornings. Checking and gathering eggs in the process which you are welcome to enjoy.

The swimming pools needs simple daily maintenance. Pot plants need watering twice a day when the weather is hot.

17th Century Chateau with attached Guardians Cottage,. Set in 9 acres of grounds in a rural location. Peaceful and well maintained. Housesitters will reside in the cottage which is well appointed. About a 3 minute drive to the local village and a 10 minute drive to all amenties, shops, restaurants, medical facilities etc. Lovely walks and clean environment. English TV and Wifi provided. 1.25 hours from the Atlantic coast and the Pyrennean mountains. Own transport is essential.

You are welcome to access the library in the main house to choose and borrow books, CDs, DVDs etc.

The Guardians cottage you will be staying in is adjacent to the main house and known as Le Pigeonnaire. It has two bedrooms, a bathroom, well-equipped kitchen/diner, and a sitting room with wood burner. There are electric room heaters. Logs for the wood burner are readily available. There is a good wifi connection, and TV with French and English channels available.
