We have two indoor cats. Our petsitter needs to check they have fresh water and that the automatic feeder is full. Our cats also get wet food once a day. Their litter boxes needs to be scooped once a day. They will enjoy attention too!
We have 8 chickens in a coop in the yard. The door shuts automatically. Our petsitter needs to give them fresh water every day and get their eggs. Also check that they still have food in their feeder. Approximately once a week, the coop needs to be cleaned (it takes 15 minutes)
Our mail needs to be picked from the mailbox.
If possible, it would be great if our housesitter could also water our plants and cut the grass once a week.

House close to a quaint village, 30 minutes away from Columbus. We live in a quiet cul-de-sac with friendly neigbors. You can walk to the bioreserve from our house (it is 5 minutes away).
Granville is a few minutes drive away. There are great coffee shops, restaurants, cute shops, a bike trail, a library, a pharmacy, a small supermarket... A weekly farmers market, outdoor concerts once in a while. It is also nice to take a walk on Denison University campus.

Our house and yards are very quiet, with lots of trees. You can walk in the cul-de-sac (the whole cul de sac is 1 mile) or to the bioreserve (many trails there). Granville is a very pleasant village. Newark and Heath are 15 minutes away and have lots of stores.
Lots to do in Columbus, 30 minutes away.
There is no public transportation, so you would need to use your own car.

Hocking Hills is famous for its beautiful hikes. It is 2 hours away.
Amish country is interesting too!

We really enjoyed our stay at Isabelle's house! Midnight and Snowflake both warmed up to us and were friendly and playful. The chickens are hilarious and using all those fresh eggs was a treat! The house and yard are spacious and well appointed: we felt right at home. Isabelle was super helpful in providing recommendations for things to do and places to explore in and near Granville. The town itself is very pretty!

I enjoyed house/pet sitting for Isabelle. She took the last few hours before she left for her trip giving me full instructions. It took awhile for me to get her shy cats to warm up, but they eventually became more personable. It was the chickens that were a big hit for me. Much to my surprise, I grew to love them. I also enjoyed the fresh eggs! Granville is a quaint little town with many points of interest, not to mention a tract of land quite close-by to the house which has many beautiful, well-marked trails in both woods and meadows.
