House-sitting in La Hulpe

Needs and animals

We have two dogs, 2 fluffy cats and five chicken.
Goji and feta are our two dogs both adopted as strays in Greece. We have two cats: a white named flocon and a black cat Batman. We also have five chicken who spend their days running free at the garden.
For the dogs we expect one walk per day for them to get their exercise. Rest of the day you can open the garden for them as they like to go out several times per day. Feta receives a medication every morning.
Batman likes to go out some morningsand returns late in the afternoons. Patience is what youbwill need for him to enter in the house again as he is scared of everything. But we will explain how this can be tackled. No dog-sitter ever had a problem. For the chicken we have an automated chicken coop but we expect you to check on them that they are well inside after sunset. In return you will have lots to do scrambled eggs every morning.
If you take care of our house you must also take care of the plants the garden and our fish in the pont. In winter time …

The fish need to be fed every two days, The house is a modern smart home which means you must be comfortable with technology. And we expect anyone staying to be extra careful. For security reasons we prefer not to accept young children.
No parties gatherings or stay overs are allowed. I expect the petsitter to keep the house clean and take care of it as if it was his own.

A beautiful modern Villa in the Wallonia suburbs 15 km from Brussels at la Hulpe. We are looking for someone to take care of our two dogs,2cats, fish, chickens and house. In return you will be able to relax in an amazing environment and explore the nature the near by villages including renowned Waterloo region. We are ten minutes walk from Chateau de la Hulpe and there are plenty pathways for a bike-ride or walking. In summer you can use the pool as long as you are careful of the practical details and an adequate swimmer. In the house we have a treadmill if you want to do some sports and the weather does not allow for you to run on the open air. The house is between waterloo and la Hulpe villages, bike routes and nature paths are around in the proximity. The nearest village is 2 km from the house and the nearest mini market at 5 minutes drive. In waterloo and Brain L alleud villages there are cinemas and bowling. Also many restaurants to discover all around . Waterloo and la Hulpe have lovely shopping roads with small boutiques and some cafes. The La hulpe train station is 10 …

Enième séjour chez Varvara et Olivier. A chaque fois, séjour très agréable. Tous les animaux sont entre-temps habitués à nous. Feta et Godji, toujours aussi câlins et friands de promenades, Batman, la discrétion personnifiée et Flocon, petit chenapan très jouette. Mention spéciale aussi pour les poules qui nous ont donné des oeufs frais. Potager dont on a pris soin avec plaisir. Plusieurs dates prévues pour 2027.

Toujours aussi chouette! Feta et Goji nous font une fête dingue à chaque fois qu’on y va. Et même Batman, Chat d’habitude très peureux, s’est laissé caresser. Et cerise sur le gâteau, une poule a recommencé à pondre, probablement un hasard, mais quand même une chouette surprise !

A nouveau un très chouette séjour chez Varvara et Olivier. Première fois en été. Très agréable. Un peu plus de boulot au potager, mais trop chouette de voir les légumes et les fruits évoluer. Et retrouver Fêta et Godji, le bonheur à l’état pur. Et n’oublions pas de mentionner flocon, Batman et les poules , sans qui le tableau ne serait pas complet. On y retournera avec plaisir.
