House

Myself, my partner Tammy and Coco and D'Artagnan (our cats) live in a 90m2 house near the Haagse Bos park in the lively and green neighbourhood of Bezuidenhout, The Hague.
Our apartment is on the ground floor of a traditional Dutch building from the 1930s. It has plenty of charm, modern amenities, and a spacious garden.
Our place is 10 minutes from the central train station by bike (15 minutes by bus). The neighborhood has everything you can need within a 10-minute walking distance, from local grocery stores to bakeries and plenty of cafés and restaurants.
Our apartment is also close to both the city center with all its museums, cultural activities, and restaurants (15 minutes away) and the beach (20 minutes away).

There are all the modern amenities needed to be comfortable, and parking just outside the house.

Tourism and Leisure

The Hague is the greenest city in Europe (with the greatest amount of green space per capita), so it has plenty of beautiful parks and gardens. It is also a city bustling with culture and art, with many world-class art and history museums, and beautiful architecture. It is a very diverse city, with plenty of people from all over the globe. There are thus restaurants of any cuisine you can imagine, from Indonesian, Japanese, and Vietnamese to Italian, Georgian, and Turkish. The city is very well connected to the world with a major train station in the city center and the second largest airport in Europe, half an hour away (Schiphol). The Hague is also very close to other beautiful Dutch cities like Amsterdam (40 minutes on train/car), Delft (15 minutes on train/car), Utrecht (30minutes on train/car), Rotterdam (20 minutes on train/car), Leiden (15 minutes on train/car), and Gouda (20 minutes on train/car). It is thus a great place to visit the rest of the Netherlands.

Our stay at Martin & Tammy's apartment was wonderful. They gave us detailed instructions about the cats, house and travelling around the city, which made everything super convenient. The cats were super adorable, D'Artignan was super chill and loved to cuddle. Coco was shy in the beginning and took her time, but we succeeded in gaining her trust, she is adorable. The apartment was well organized and very clean and at a great location. Martin & Tammy both were responsive throughout. They also let us use their cycles which is very generous of them. We would highly recommend choosing them for your next pet sitting experience.

It was so nice meeting this lovely, young family. Their house is cosy and well equipped, ideally situated near the city centre and at the same time within Den Haag’s green lung with Palace Den Bosch. We felt really welcome and taking care of the cats was a pleasure.
