Tala

Snoopy is a Dutch Wolfhound (40kg) and needs to be walked 3 times a day (together minimum an hour per day). He likes to be in company and is a quiet - non-barking- dog. Since this house is only rented for 2 years by us - we cannot change the garden. The ground is mostly tiled, and in the tree area are white gravel-stones. The dog needs therefor its regularly walks. He can be taken with anywhere. He has several blankets in the house where he can be with his people. For most of the plants and trees is an irrigation system working, but the roses and a few pot plants need in the summer every second day watering. The pool needs a top up of water once a week in summer and a chlorine tablet.
We take care of 2-4 stray cats and make them friendly so that they can be caught and nutered. They need to be fed 1 -2 times per day outside only.

Our dates are not yet firm. We would like a couple as house-sitters and that you arrive at least two days prior and stay one day later than our arrival - to pick you up from Pathos-airport or from the bus coming from Larnaca airport and to help you returning. We want to show you around and introduce you to the dog and his habits. We are looking forward to welcome you here so that you have a relaxed time as well.

Bungalow with 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and an office in a quiet area among other villas. It has nice sea-views since there is only a playing ground opposite facing the sea. The garden is landscaped by the Russian owner and it is mostly tiled around with white gravel stones around the bushes and trees. There are three irrigation-systems. There is a pool (8.50 m x 4 m) with shower and barbecue - and a covered terrace to eat in the shade. You look into the Green from all windows here, which is rare for Cyprus. The village center with more than a handful taverns is a few minutes walk from here. You hear birds here and will see a lot of cats around when walking the dog in this peaceful atmosphere.

we are equipped with DVD player, old fashioned video player, have satellite tv (but Astra satellite and only a few english programmes) mainly german stations. I have about 40 different music cds, some english videos, some meditation music, and a few english books to read - mainly german books. There is internet either bei connecting with a cable to a modem - or there is wifi available for the whole premises. I have a big djembe-drum - but only for experienced drummers. The neighbours do not mind if you turn now and then the music a bit louder.

The house is well equipped with nearly everything you can think of. We have a reverse-osmosis filter system to filter the tap water. This water is ideal and healthy to drink and use. A small dishwasher and a medium size fridge with a small freezer-compartment is in the kitchen. A large TV with German and a few English programs (via satellite) is next to a DVD player and video in the living room. The guest room for you has nice views to the fruit trees in the garden and a bathroom with big bathtub-shower. You can have WiFi or connection to the internet by cable - which is healthier....The big covered terrace next to the pool gives you shade and has a wooden corner bench and table to eat outside. Tala village is traditional and nice to stroll with a church and chapel and more than a handful taverns and restaurants. There is a supermarket, pharmacy and delicatessen-shop in about 1km distance. There is a bus connection to bring you to upper Paphos from where another bus brings you to the harbour and sea-side. If you are used to drive on the left side and want to pay for an extra - insurance - you can drive our car.

The seaside specially outside of the hotel buildings (6 km distance) is beautiful, natural and nice to stroll. You can walk there because it is downhill and come back by taxi - ordered from a beach-bar at the sea. Or you hire a scooter which is sufficient here for driving around. We have a shopping mall in Lower Paphos - about 25 minutes to drive - with a modern cinema. The old town of Paphos with its old marked is impressive and there is lots to sea in Paphos and around - (tombs of the kings, mosaics, the traditional old harbor...). In all of the restaurants and most of the bars you sit outside nearly all year and you can take the dog with you.
