We have a lovely cat who is very friendly and just needs some attention while we are away! He loves to cuddle and needs some playtime during the day or evening and to be let on to the balcony from time to time. (That is dragging around a shoe lace which he likes to chase and hunt!) The house sitter would also need to take care of the litter every day. There is an automatic feeder, so that is taken care of, it is mainly company that we are looking for.

Sunny one bedroomed apartment in Patisia, Athens, with separate lounge and kitchen. The bedroom, lounge and studio all have double doors leading out on to a large balcony, with all day sun. We use one of the rooms as a studio, so might be handy for someone who is working remotely, it has a very quick, fiber wifi connection. Very close to metro, (about 7 minutes walk), supermarket within 1 minute walk and easy to access central areas. We have a well equipped art studio which you are welcome to use, it is a good space for drawing, painting or any kind of making ! There are speakers for music, as well as a small portable speaker and screens for anyone working remotely online. The bed is very comfy and is a large double (160cm). The balcony is south facing with a lot of sun and has a table and chairs where you can sit and enjoy a coffee or glass of wine, peacefully overlooking the garden. If you have had enough sun, there are shades which roll down. The apartment itself is quiet and relaxed, sitting on the balcony you look on to a garden and the next blocks aren't too …

The apartment block is on quite a busy road, but our apartment is at the back, away from the road. From time to time you might hear the neighbours, but nothing out of the ordinary for an apartment in a city. There is a weekly market about 5 - minutes walk away with great produce at a great price. As mentioned, the metro is around 7 - 8 minutes walk up the road and from here you can be in central Athens in 10-15 minutes. There are plenty of shops, cafes and tavernas near by.

Tourism and Leisure

There is lots to do in Athens! You can while away time walking through the beautiful central streets, taking in the historical sites as you go, visit museums and galleries (there are plenty to choose from!), enjoy one of the parks, take a trip slightly out to the mountains for a hike, go shopping, explore some of the different areas of Athens on foot discovering small boutiques and wonderful cafes and tavernas along the way - tasting delicious Greek cuisine! Take a tram to the sea and go for a dip!

This was a wonderful stay! Holly and Nemo are so kind and friendly and their beautiful cat Klaus is a joy chatty and cuddly. Their home is cute, bright, and clean - close to transport to the city center :) Hope to house sit here again soon!
