Needs and animals

Animals with specific needs | Many plants | Big garden | 2 Dogs | 2 Cats

2 cats - they need to be fed twice a day, very low-maintenance, they go in and out via the cat flap as they please.

2 dogs - dogs need to be fed twice per day and let out onto our field multiple times a day. They are very much so house dogs, they sleep and spend most of their time o the couches dowstairs. We take them on a walk every 2 days or play fetch on our field on days when we don't walk them.

The smaller dog, Yen (3 years old) is a Whipet/Collie mix, very well-behaved and obsessed with the ball. The bigger dog's name is Ellie, she is 8 years old, she is a Collie and German Shepherd mix. They are extremely friendly towards all humans. Ellie is not great with other dogs (barks at them) so we suggest taking only Yen and leaving Ellie at home for longer walks. They can be left alone in the house for up to 8 hours.

All 4 pets are rescues and will steal ANY food they can find so it's very important everything is stored safely away.

House

Restored old schoolhouse, originally built in 1800. It is very peaceful and secluded, with neighbors only on one side, fields and a nature park on other sides. Located in beautiful nature with mature trees and wild flowers. 2 minutes from scenic hiking and cycling routes, 13 minutes to a bus stop to Bray/Dublin or Greystones. Bookshelves full of books in English, Spanish and Polish as well as board games. TV projector and bluetoth speaker Great internet speed as I work from home, with 2 working stations available for guests. Great kitchen facilities with both Aga and traditional cooker. Living room with a working fireplace great for reading books (loads of books available) playing board games, and cuddling with the animals. The bedroom is equipped with a projector. Newly renovated bathroom with electric shower. Please note that the house doesn't have central heating, we have insulated it but it's running cold. Bedrooms have underfloor heating and kitchen has the Aga but during winter you need to keep the fire going to maintain heat. Two nearby towns, Bray and Greystones are 20 minutes from the house (12 min on foot + 8 min bus journey) with great selection of supermarkets, pubs, restaurants, beaches and cafes. Cahors, France - June 2026

We had a wonderful stay with Wiktoria and Jack. They are incredibly welcoming, warm, and kind people who make you feel at home from the very beginning. Their two dogs are absolute bundles of love ! They are very affectionate, sweet, and a joy to spend time with. The two cats are more independent but equally lovely in their own way. The surroundings are beautiful and perfect for enjoying the Irish countryside and outdoor life. I highly recommend staying with them and would happily return! See you soon guys :)

We had a wonderful time at Wiktoria and Jack’s house with the furry gang! They are such warm-hearted people and made us feel very welcome at their home! We absolutely fell in love with the adorable and very friendly dogs and cats! :)
