Pool maintenance | 1 Dog | 1 Cat

We have a Bouvier and one cat. All we expect is someone who wants an 30 minute walk a day maximum as he only has 3 legs and who likes to sit and cuddle in front of the television or fire. House and garden is used to taking care of itself! If the weather is good you can still swim in the natural swimming pool or at least sunbath beside it.

Large family home with view over fields and natural swimming pool. Heated with log fires and radiators it is cosy and with a stunning terrace to enjoy the stupidly warm sunny winter days. Spare guest cottage if you are having visitors and there is the stunning Medieaval city of Belves with its food market and cafes only a short walk away. Train station for quick access to Perigueux and Bordeaux but also have a great old Volvo to use if you have a drivers licence. We need someone to love our dog Eddy and his cat Lizzy. He is a soppy Blonde Bouvier but getting on a bit so needs a short walk each day and lots of cuddles. The cat get on with it as usual. We are away for two weeks from 19th October to 3rd November 2018 and looking for someone to come and enjoy a beautiful part of France. Bergerac airport 45 minutes away. Stunning views and lots of space if you want it but cosy inside with log burners. The neighbours are lovely and not too close. Forests with wild mushrooms, horses and wildlife are on your doorstep. Sarlat is 30 minute drive if you want more than Belves …

So much to discover. Castles, grottes, markets, forests and rivers. The canoeing stops now but the Dordogne and Vezere valleys are beautiful as are the market towns around. PERIGUEUX is knly 45 minutes by car ans has theatre, cinemas and sooo much more.

We loved house sitting in Belvès for Ondine & Laurent with their wonderful dog Eddy and lovely cat Lizzie. Laurent took the time to show us around the area, introduced us to some friends, made sure we were comfortable during our stay, and we even enjoyed several meals together with great conversation! We would gladly come back and house sit again in the future, and highly recommend this house sit to other sitters! -Joseph & Hannah

Eddy is perhaps the most brave and gentle soul on earth... Despite his protective nature, he adopted me instantly... Lizzy, the younger cat sister of Eddy, thinks she's probably a dog... She comes along with us for a walk every now and then and kept me warm when it got cold... I miss them both tremendously... As with the family, Ondine, Laurent and the kids, they really made me feel at home. A very international family, open-minded, generous and with genuine interests in people and another culture, you'd have endless things to talk about, a moment to share and fond memories to have... We didn't bid goodbye and surely we will see each other again:-)... Eddy, I'll be back. Stay well and wait for me... XOXO

Laurent and Ondine were very gracious hosts. On our arrival Laurent fully explained the layout of the property including the operation of the sit on mower. We were shown the local town of Belves and introduced to their friends who served as our local points of contact, if we had any problems. Communication was very good both prior to and during our stay and we would highly recommend them to any future prospective sitters.
