We're a Canadian couple who enjoy slow travel and getting to know new places by living in them rather than simply passing through.
Ted is retired from a career as a lawyer and executive search consultant, and Barb is a retired operating room nurse. Both of us spent much of our careers working internationally, which made us adaptable, respectful and genuinely interested in different cultures and ways of life.
As homeowners and pet owners ourselves, we understand the trust involved in leaving your home and animals in someone else's care. We've found that house sitting is our favourite way to travel. We enjoy settling into a neighbourhood, discovering local cafés, markets and walking trails, and appreciating the rhythm of everyday life while caring for a home and pets.

I can strongly recommend Ted as a conscientious person with attention to detail and as someone who can be relied on. My cats warmed to him quickly and were well taken care of. My property and car were returned in as good or better condition then when I left. I needed someone on short notice and within a week he had organized himself to spend a few months in Bermuda. The arrival, departure and handovers were all brief and easy. It was clear that Ted has property management experience, understands the issues and can be trusted. In particular, I appreciated his experience with humid climates and higher end properties which have some peculiarities that he understood. He qualified for his Bermuda Driver license for left side driving and returned my car with a full tank of gas! I wouldn’t hesitate having him back and highly recommend him.
