Hello! I am an Icelandic retired teacher in my sixties. I have had cats my whole life and like to travel alone and petsit in other countries.
I am a quite, honest and reliable person but also playful and I never feel lonely when traveling and taking care of cats and plants.
Me and my retired husband, Sigmar Thor, are both animal lovers and have long experience in caring for dogs for family and friends. Recently we got our own small dog, a pomeranian called Elton, but because of strict regulation in Iceland we can’t take him with us when travelling abroad and have to find petsitter for him when travelling together.
We are both very tidy and respectful of others properties and don’t smoke.

Helga looked after our three cats, home and plants for just over a week. When she came in we immediately saw she loves cats as she greeted them so warmly. One of our cats is quite wary of strangers but they became good friends right away. While we were away Helga sent us updates about the cats and especially took note of one cat who had a bit of a stomach problem so we could discuss with our vet. She also saved our balcony plant during windy weather. We felt very relaxed during our holiday, knowing the cats were in safe hands. When we came back the apartment was tidy and clean and the cats happy and relaxed, they had clearly been getting their fur combed and plenty of play time while we were gone. We highly recommend Helga as a pet sitter, she will take great care of your home and pets while you are away!

Helga was a very good catsitter. After three weeks abroad, my two cats were totally calm and healthy, with zero anxiety for my depart. She kept me informed with pictures and videos frequently, which was so nice. Thank you a lot!! :)
