Hello. My name is Alan. I am a retired software engineer. I love music; I play violin and piano -- mainly classical. I love cats. I'm fairly active and enjoy hiking and biking. I also enjoy cultural activities like art museums and music/theater. My wife Amy and I are cat owners since approximately the turn of the century.
Amy is a retired software project manager. She spends a lot of time writing poetry, essays, and an occasional story (see https://www.amybethsisson.com/). She may or may not join me for house-sitting depending on the situation (timing, length, location).
Amy and I own our home in Swarthmore Pennsylvania and have been homeowners together since 1997. I am handy and can easily manage simpler repairs/work-arounds in the event of something being broken.
FYI, my French level is B1+. I passed the DELF B1 exam in December 2024 and am working toward B2.

Alan est un fantastique home sitter ! Il a été adopté par mes chats sans problème. Entre deux voyages, nous avons passé quelques jours avec lui et il est devenu un ami. Sympa , drôle, généreux, discret, c’est un home et cat-sitter en or que je recommande sans hésiter. Il a une invitation permanente chez nous !!
