Hello, I'm Dana.
I'm new to house sitting, it's something that I have heard of for years but never really had the flexibility to properly explore. I love to travel and have been an avid airbnb user and host for what feels like forever so this just seems like a natural progression that I am very excited to explore!
What I love about travel is the chance to really see another way of living. I try and fully immerse myself in the moment and explore past the tourist sites and take in the destination like a local- which is what I love about airbnb. To actually be in a neighbourhood and further more someones home is so special. I personally love to find quirky accommodations like tiny houses, boats, caravans, yurts...it's amazing to me some of the things people dream up and appreciate so much my moment in that dream.
I think my fascination is quite advantageous for house sitting as I am familiar with all types of toilets, heating and spaces!
I myself cohabitate with a house panther- irregardless of me calling her baby kitty she is a straight up wild cat in miniature form and thus cannot be owned or tamed. She does however sit and play fetch.
I pride myself in being the cool aunt not only to my actual nephews but all my friends and coworkers dogs. Often the go to when walks or slumber parties are needed. Take note though that unlike the stereotypical cool aunt I do follow parental instructions. I do not choose sides nor discriminate in the battle of pets and am open to caring for and loving anything and everything...other than spiders..we all have our limitations.
As for my green thumb, it's pretty good! Planttok taught me everything I know and not to brag but I've had my plants for years-years! and yes, they do have names.
So, why don't we both enjoy a change of scenery?
