Hi, I’m Colette!

Thanks for stopping by my profile. I’m self-employed as a mental coach, sports psychologist, and yoga teacher – which means I’m able to work from anywhere and combine my love of travel with my passion for caring for animals. I have also travelled a lot on my professional life, so I am quite confident being in other cultures & countries.

Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up on a farm in Germany, surrounded by dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, quails, and even pigs. From early on, I learned how to care for them with respect and love – they were always family to me. My last dog, Harry, was my loyal companion for many years and traveled with me through France. We shared a very close bond that meant a lot to me.

Being in nature is also an important part of my life. I enjoy gardening, growing my own plants, hiking, and spending time by the sea – I love to surf whenever I get the chance. Yoga is part of my daily routine, and I’m passionate about good food, great music, reading inspiring books, (tap) dancing and sharing time with friends. I also cherish moments with my little nephew, who is three years old and brings so much joy into my life. I love going into nearby forest with him and sharing my passion and love for animals and nature.

Recently, I completed my first housesitting experience in Scotland, which was wonderful. The owner told me she felt she hadn’t just found someone to care for her home and her pets, but a friend – and I think that sums up perfectly how I approach housesitting. It’s about trust, connection, and making sure both the animals and the owners feel completely at ease.
