I'm a composer in my mid-30s, working running a concert series in Manchester (UK) and freelance composing. Inspiration strikes in the most unusual places, and travel helps me to focus on my next projects - usually through reading, walking, visiting museums and listening to music.
I've been taking part in house-swaps/house sitting since I was a teenager with my family, meeting many fabulous people along the way, and have a love for the Continent, and France especially. We would typically spend all summer in France (whilst our exchange guests would summer in Yorkshire) - spending time in Normandy, Paris, Lyon, Marseilles, Provence, Ardeche... you name it.
I speak French - mostly fluent - as I was an au-pair for 6 months in Dijon, which was a real joy, so I am both comfortable living in France and taking care of someone else's home/children/pets. I take the responsibility seriously. It would be a wonderful bonus if you had a piano I could look after too!

Alice fut une home-sitter exemplaire ! Nous avons eu plaisir à être en contact avec elle, et nous avons retrouvé notre chat en pleine forme et heureux, ce qui est le plus important pour nous. Nous avons reçu régulièrement des nouvelles, et à notre retour la maison était propre et rangée. Vous pouvez faire confiance à Alice les yeux fermés ! Elle sera la bienvenue chez nous pour d'autres séjours, si elle le souhaite.
