So I’m Vicky an Irish girl who lived in the UK for many years and is now currently travelling in Europe trying to escape mizzly, drizzly grey winters.
I enjoy walking, rugby (watching), sailing, live music, dancing, cooking and travel.
I’m an upbeat, positive, animal loving sort of girl.
I grew up with cats, dogs and rabbits so my love for them started young and I learned how to care for them properly and how beautiful an animals love can be.
When living in Cornwall, I helped look after Kiki for 4 years, she’s the beautiful Siberian husky in the photos. Her owner was paraplegic and he and I also became good friends. This involved walking her, taking her to the vets occasionally, getting her nails done and having girls night’s in around mine. She was my bestest friend. Sadly both she and Matt have now passed.
My most recent experience is with Trusted House Sitters, I joined THS over 20 months ago with the plan to use it occasionally as my compass travelling around Europe. I’ve completed 14 sits, my most recent one month, July in Oslo, 7 in Spain and 6 between England and Ireland. So far they’ve involved a mixture of dogs and cats of all sizes and personalities and mostly rescues. All have gone very well, with excellent 5* reviews and invitations to come back.

We are so grateful to Vicky, for taking so great care of our dog Yatzy while we were away. It turned out to be a real holiday for him, as Vicky took him on walks in the forest, along rivers and waterfalls and to the cityparks. Yatzy has had a summer as a real adventurer! It was fun to get pictures and stories about what they were up to, and also how they met with the other dogs in our street, which Yatzy really enjoy. It was easy to communicate while we were away, and also appreciated that we had time for a lovely chat before we left. I completely trusted that Yatzy was well taken care of. I highly recommend Vicky, we where lucky to have her visit and give Yatzy such a great summer.
