Why do I want to pet sit/house sit?
I recently (July 2026) lost my best friend, my English Cocker Spaniel Snöret, after 16 years together. I can't imagine living without pets, but it will take a while before I'm ready to get a new pet companion. In the meantime I thought that I'd take advantage of my digital work life and get the chance to meet pets (and their owners) around the world. As I am just starting out I don't have any reviews yet, but I hope that my profile will inspire confidence. (I have lots of reviews on Airbnb as a tidy and friendly guest (my dog is also mentioned a few times!), but I don't know how to share them here.) At home in Malmö I live a very social and active city life with family, friends and neighbours, but I am really an introvert so when I pet sit I would like to enjoy a quieter life. Reading, writing, drawing, listening to music, going for walks, and taking care of your pets/animals & plants sounds absolutely perfect to me. I am quite well travelled, so I know that I prefer slowly getting to know a place or an area.

My experience with pets/animals:
🐕I have first hand experience of owning/sharing my life with dogs for many years (the Cocker Spaniel Snöret, the Boxer Elsa, the Dachshund Olle). I love sharing a daily routine, walks and hikes with a dog (or dogs), and how dogs experience the world with their senses. I also love going outside in all seasons and weathers! (Except maybe in extreme heat.)
🐈 I fostered a cat (Kitty) in my home for about six months, and I have cat sat for several of my friends and neighbours. Cats have their different personalities and moods, and it is such a lovely feeling when they choose to come to me for cuddles and play.
🐎I used to have my own horse (Benson, SWB, a long time ago now) and my sister lives on a horse farm, so I am used to handling horses and I adore their beautiful souls.
🐹I have some experience with guinea pigs, and I enjoy how communicatiive and social they are with each other.
I would love to learn about and get to know other animals, for example birds, goats or donkeys. I am always open to learning!
I have a soft spot for elderly and shy pets/animals, but I appreciate all different personalities.
My pets/animals have always been my priority, and so will yours be when they are in my care.

My job:
I am a language teacher. I give classes online, so I work remotely. My schedule varies, but I usually work 2-3 hours in the morning and 2-3 hours in the late afternoon/evening from Monday to Friday lunch. In any case I have plenty of time for cuddles, play and walks!
I also work for the Swedish Red Cross as a workshop planner/developer/leader/facilitator.

Languages I speak:
Swedish and English - fluent
French and Spanish - conversational
German - basic
I'd be very happy to practice my French, Spanish or German while pet/house sitting!

Other info:
I don't smoke or vape.
I like sharing the couch and bed with dog(s) or cat(s), if that is what they are used to.
Of course I will keep you updated regularly, so that you can relax knowing that your pets, plants and house are well taken care of!

What I need:
A good and stable internet connection for my work. (Mobile internet can work if the signal is excellent.)
Possibility to reach basic shops (grocery store, bakery) by public transport, by bike or on foot, as I don't own a car and prefer not having to drive.
