Hello from Roxanne & Nikita 🐾🎬🎸

We are Roxanne and Nikita, a mother-and-son family from Australia — filmmakers, musicians, travellers, entrepreneurs, and passionate animal lovers, advocates and rescuers.

Animals have always been a big part of our lives. I grew up with animals, and Nikita has grown up surrounded by them too. We genuinely love animals and have extensive experience caring for cats, dogs, rabbits, birds, horses, fish and turtles.

Nikita is 17, and we have travelled the world together as a worldschooling family since 2017. Along the way, we have had many wonderful experiences looking after other people's animals and homes.

We have cared for cats and a snake in France and Italy, dogs in Mexico through TrustedHousesitters, and cats, dogs and rabbits in Australia. We have also helped with horses in Australia and volunteered in sea turtle conservation in Mexico's Riviera Maya.

At home in Australia, we are involved in wildlife rescue and conservation and have helped animals in need, including both native Australian wildlife and other animals. Recently, I successfully took legal action to stop the aerial shooting of wild horses (brumbies). We have our own free-roaming group of four bunnies, whom we deeply miss when traveling ))

Our creative life

We are filmmakers and musicians. We have just finished filming our feature film **The Room Beyond**, which is currently in post-production at our film studio.

Our documentary **One Day with Doctor Sergio** has been selected for film festivals around the world and has won **9 awards**. The trailer is on the same YouTube channel.

We also play guitar and sing, so there is usually a little music happening wherever we stay. 🎶

🏡 Why house sitting suits us

We are also entrepreneurs and run our businesses online. Because we work remotely, we spend a lot of time at home working on our projects, studying and creating.

This makes house sitting a wonderful fit for our lifestyle. Your pets will have plenty of company, because we genuinely enjoy being at home and having animals around us.

For us, house sitting is the perfect combination: we can discover new places and cultures, enjoy the company of animals, and have a peaceful home base where we can work and study independently.

We treat every home with the same care and respect as our own. And we understand that when you leave your home and pets with someone, you are trusting them with much more than just a house — you are trusting them with members of your family.

We are vegan and tend to cook very simply, so we don't create much mess or spend our days in the kitchen. We are quiet, responsible and very comfortable living independently.

I have more than **20 years of experience with dogs and cats**, including many of my own animals before I moved to Australia. We also have extensive experience with rabbits, birds and fish.

Most importantly, we truly love caring for animals. We take the time to understand each pet's individual personality, routine and needs, and we want them to feel safe, comfortable and loved while their people are away.

We are very happy to provide references from people whose homes and pets we have looked after.
