I am co-founder of an NGO based in Athens, Greece, which circulates educational resources to refugees living in camps throughout the country (find out more at echo-greece.org or @refugeelibrary) I am currently doing home-based remote work and travelling often - made much more enjoyable through pet-sitting!
I have lived abroad my whole life and have an international background - my father is from the Netherlands and my mother is from Peru, but I have lived in South America as well as South Asia, North America, and now Europe. Growing up, we always had a full house of pets - rabbits, parrots, dogs, cats, turtles, and even iguanas at one point - so I am well accustomed to caring for them, and rather miss it now that I have become somewhat nomadic and have no pets of my own (yet!).

Esther is a lovely housesitter who is very flexible when it comes to last minute changes. At the last minute my husband had to stay in London due to work commitments and Esther was fine to share the house with him. The pets were very fond of her and sad to see her go, especially Monty! Thanks for your help Esther.

Esther was great: friendly, mature and absolutely dependable. She went above and beyond to look after Sjors, and did not bat an eye in the face of several unexpected hiccups. She was respectful of our house, which she left in excellent condition. I would have her again in a heartbeat!
