Welcome to my home near Geneva!
My ground-floor apartment is in a duplex house in France, in the center of a village just across the border from Geneva. Surrounded by trees, it feels like a little forest retreat, with a garden, a lovely indoor terrace, two bedrooms for sitters and a wonderful 180-degree fireplace. Public transport is within a five minute walk, and there is a parking space for a car.
There's plenty to explore, from Geneva's beautiful lake and museums to medieval towns, historic castles and wonderful walking and cycling trails. The Jura mountains and Alps are nearby, making this an ideal base for discovering France and Switzerland.
Meet Truwi
My young cat, Truwi, is young, healthy and low-maintenance and will leave you plenty of time for day trips. He is shy and sensitive, but a calm presence, gentle play and patience will win his heart.
I had a repeat sitter who was wonderful but no longer available. I'd really like to find a kind, reliable regular sitter who can build a trusting relationship with Truwi.

Local attractions within 30-60 minutes include Lac Leman, old Geneva, CERN, Yvoire, Annecy, Chillon castle, Montreux, gondolas to mountain-tops and glaciers, Lake Nantua and Bugey area of France, Chamonix, Lavaux vineyard terraces and other Swiss wine country,
Within 2-3 hours is Bern, Lyon, Grenoble, Beaune/Dijon/Burgundy, Beaujolais, Northern Rhone valley, many Alpine villages and hikes in Valais and Vaud (Switzerland), and Savoy (France), as well as Aosta (northern Italy) by car through the Mont Blanc tunnel.
Although a car is easier for rural and mountain locations, many of these sites are accessible by bus or train.
