Let me introduce our furry friends!

Jackie(5F), Baloe(5M) and Marie(2F) are our indoor cats. Jackie and Baloe are brother and sister and Marie is the daughter of Jackie. Marie is quite scared of a lot of things so you will probably not see her so much but when she asks for attention she loves some pets! Jackie and Baloe are the friendliest cats, they love cuddling and follow you around the house. All the cats stay indoor and all you will need to do is feed them, give fresh drinkwater and clean the catlitter box.

House

70m2 restored traditional swiss house in the middle of a small mountain town. We have a shared garden with the two other apartments. Though anyone is rarely in the garden. We have raised beds for vegetables and a seating area in the garden. Our village is a short bus/car ride/ hike to the lake of luzern (vierwaldstattersee). There are a gazillion hiking options here and two cablecars (200m and 500m away from our house) up the mountains (niederbauen and stockhutte) A few restaurants in town and a small everyday supermarket (volg). This place is ideal for people who love nature but still want to be nearby civilization. Luzerne is reachable by bus/train or car.
We live above a bakery where everyday fresh bread etc. is made. The bakery sells local honey/ jams/ cheeses/ handmade crafts etc. The store owner is very friendly and will be happy to tell you everything on what to do here.
We have a record player with many records and a good amount of books in english/german/dutch.

Luzerne reachable by car within 30min, and by train+bus. Lake acces a short bus/car drive away or a hike down. Endless hiking options and two cable cars up. Our town is nearby the populair gratwanderung stoos and so many more! Mountainbike tracks nearby with starting points in the town.

We had a wonderful house-sitting experience in Emmetten taking care of Sven and Larissa’s three wonderful cats over the Christmas holidays. Larissa was our main point of contact and she was extremely responsive from the very beginning, I immediately had a great feeling. Both Sven and Larissa are truly lovely, very welcoming and kind. The apartment is warm, very well equipped and spotlessly clean. As for the cats, they are simply the sweetest and most sociable cats we’ve ever looked after: independent, relaxed and incredibly cuddly at the same time. Absolutely perfect for our cosy Christmas holiday 🐾🎄 Everything was thoughtfully organised: clear and detailed instructions, little thoughtful touches, and great tips for things to do and see in the area. There are plenty of beautiful hikes and ski resorts nearby, making the location ideal for nature lovers. One thing to keep in mind is that the cost of living in Switzerland is high, but the experience was more than worth it. We would highly recommend this house-sit without hesitation!

We had a great time in this cosy home, looking after Lilli and the cats! They are very lovable and we enjoyed going on walks with the dog and seeing the beautiful landscape in Emmetten.
