Lena & Mira

My partner and I had a great time at Lena and Mira’s place. They were very friendly, communicative and generous hosts and made everything very easy and smooth for us. Nils the cat is really friendly too and is always ready for a cuddle. The house was clean and well-organised and we had everything we needed. Including unlimited supply of extra fresh eggs! My partner (a big music and film fan) particularly enjoyed the big screen TV with surround sound system and the very nice stereo system with turntable. The daily chores were a breeze and we had plenty of time to enjoy ourselves. The location is just outside a very quiet village. There is not a lot within walking distance but there are several other towns and villages within easy driving distance for shopping and restaurants or anything else you might need. There are plenty of opportunities for time in nature; the house has a large garden with lots of trees and there are plenty of walking/cycling trails through the fields and forest nearby, some starting directly from the house. I can highly recommend Lena and Mira’s place for anyone who appreciates a peaceful quiet time in nature.

Lena & Mira are wonderful people and great hosts. They are very welcoming, give detailed information and instructions, and left me a tidy and clean house. They live in a close-knit community, and I was lucky enough to meet some of their very nice neighbors who were always willing to help out. The sit was two months, so we had to communicate regularly, and they were always available and responded in a timely manner. Nils is very good-natured and well-behaved. He's such a joy to be around, always purring and ready to be cuddled. He really brightens your day! And it was certainly a treat to have so many delicious fresh eggs whenever I wanted. It was my first-time taking care of geckos and they were easy to care for and certainly interesting to watch.

Lena and Mira are really great people with good humor and warm hearts. They were nice and even met me at the train station to pick me up. They left detailed instructions, answered all of my questions and kept helping me through-out the stay if I had any problems. Their pets were also really nice. The chicken weren't a hassle at all, it was easy to care for them. Geckos just needed the water changed sometime and Nils (cat) was just an absolute lovebug. I had an amazing stay at this wonderful place!

Super homeowners. Mia and Lena welcomed us from their heart with detailed instructions which have been very helpful during the stay. We had a great time with the chicken, Nils the cat and the geckos. To care for the hens was easy and no great work. Nils is very relaxed, affectionate and has a wonderful nature. He turned out to be a "little dog" - always around us and very interested in all what we did. Best buddy while sharing the couch and listening to good music. Great communication before and during the sit. The house was very comfortable and cozy. It is perfectly located between St. Wendel (a small town, nice to visit) and Saarbrücken (the capital of Saarland). There is plenty of space for walking and cycling. In the village you will find a bakery and a small grocery store. Bigger shops are not far. We would have no hesitation in recommending this place! Thanks to Mia and Lena for this amazing stay.
