Ciao! I’m Anja, a 37-year-old Italian expat who has been living in Belgium for many years. When I’m not working on making cities greener and more sustainable, I’m happiest surrounded by animals, especially my adorable rescue cats who fill my home with love and mischief.
About me
I’ve loved animals all my life, growing up with cats, dogs, horses and small pets. Today, I volunteer at a local cat shelter, caring for senior cats and giving them comfort, medication and cuddles in their golden days. While my apartment means I can’t adopt every animal I meet (tempting as it is!), I put my heart into caring for those I can, whether they’re mine or yours.
I also love to travel and have done so extensively. This has taught me how to stay calm and resourceful in unfamiliar places and how to quickly find solutions if unexpected situations arise.
What I offer

🌱 plant care: I’m also a plant lover, so your green friends will stay healthy and thriving too
I often work remotely, so I can spend plenty of time with your pets and keep their routines consistent. Occasionally, I might travel with my partner if that’s okay with you. We are both calm, caring and love animals.

It was such a pleasure to look after Anja's Lovelies. Everything was prepared by Anja for a nice welcome . Not only the instructions for her Lovelies but what to see and how to get around. Staying at Anja's with her five cats was a treat. Her cats are lovely companions and her top floor apartment was very comfortable for my daughter and me. Anja was generous with her time and information and even met us at the transit stop to help with our luggage when we got there! I much appreciated her friendly, clear communication and concern.

I heartily recommand Anja's home for petsitting. The appartement is very cosy, very well situated in Brussels with a lot of public transport to visit the city. The cats were all very cuddly, friendly and sweet. It was a pleasure to have their compagny during this stay. The communication was very easy too.
