What our members say

  • If you like extreme tidiness, this is an ideal home to sit. If you like a considerate host, she has thought of everything you'd need to feel comfortable. If you like gentle and friendly pets, the brother and sister will make your heart smile... It was difficult to say goodbye, and we didn't... See you again:-)... Ann Montreux, Switzerland
  • Great house sitter! Took care of my house and animals as if they were her own. Very friendly and interesting person , a pleasure to spend time with. Great cook!!! Varvara D. Brussels, Belgium
  • Michael and Cheri are warm and helpful hosts. They have a beautiful, comfortable home in the heart of Cuenca. Everything you could need is within walking distance. They even took the time to show us their favorite restaurants, vendors, and markets around the city before they left. Michael and Cheri did a wonderful job of explaining the hows of caretaking their home. They were candid about their needs and expectations and answered all of our questions, both before we arrived and during our time together at the beginning of the stay. We take our responsibilities as sitters very seriously, and their approach made it very easy to do our job. They even have a "user manual" for the house! We have not had, nor can we imagine, a more perfect house-sitting opportunity. By far the best experience we've had. We would go back in an instant. Karen H. St. Petersburg, FL, USA
  • This was our first house sitting experience and Karen and Ray set a very high bar. We received weekly emails, not because they felt obligated, but because they wanted to share their experience. We didn't have any pets, just house plants which were watered and cared for perfectly including some disease and insect problems. We returned to a clean home, with freshly washed towels and sheets, several meals, fruits and vegetables waiting for us. They left us notes with status about food, propane, plant watering and feeding, restaurants they liked and some suggestions for future house sitters. Besides house sitting we've established a wonderful friendship with like-minded people. Michael E. Cuenca, Ecuador
